Frequently asked questions

Still unsure? Ask us directly and a person from our local team will reply.

What is Pickpoint WMS?

Pickpoint is a warehouse management system (WMS) built specifically for third-party logistics (3PL) providers. It runs the full 3PL workflow — ASN-based receiving, barcode-driven picking and packing, dispatch with carrier integrations, automated billing and invoicing, and a branded client portal — in one platform, available cloud-hosted on AWS or self-hosted on-premise.

Who is Pickpoint designed for?

Pickpoint is designed for 3PL warehouses and fulfilment providers in Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia. It is multi-client and multi-warehouse by design: each of your clients gets their own configuration, rates, carriers and portal, while your team runs everything from one system.

Which carriers does Pickpoint integrate with?

Pickpoint integrates with 30+ carriers including Australia Post (eParcel), StarTrack, Toll, TNT, DHL, Direct Freight, Allied Express, NZ Post and CourierPost, plus the MachShip aggregator. It also supports retailer EDI dispatch and GS1/SSCC labelling for major Australian retailers such as Coles, Woolworths, Big W and Kmart. Carrier and service selection is automated per order by a configurable rules matrix.

Can Pickpoint connect to my clients' systems?

Yes. Pickpoint offers a JWT-secured REST API, SOAP web services, ANSI X12 EDI, ecommerce connectors such as Magento, and flat-file imports (XML, JSON, CSV, Excel) in each client's own format. Outbound event feeds — inventory advice, shipment advice, order milestones — keep client systems in sync automatically, with queued delivery, retries and monitoring.

How does 3PL billing work in Pickpoint?

Each client gets a rate card covering inbound, outbound, storage, containers, pallet hire and ad-hoc services. Charges are captured automatically the moment work happens — for example, pick charges are raised when an order is picked and labelled, and storage accrues from the live stock ledger. An approval queue lets you review charges before a one-click invoice run at period close.

Is Pickpoint cloud-based or on-premise?

Both. Most customers run Pickpoint fully managed in the cloud on Amazon Web Services. If you need data sovereignty, offline resilience or have strict compliance mandates, the same system can be self-hosted on your own servers inside your network.
